Signs your water heaterneeds a look.

Running out of hot water
Showers going cold sooner than they used to. Often sediment building up in the tank or a heating part wearing out.
Rusty or discolored hot water
Brown or reddish water from the hot tap only can mean the inside of the tank is starting to corrode.
Rumbling or popping
Sediment hardening at the bottom of a tank makes it knock and pop as it heats. It also makes the heater work harder.
Water around the base
Pooling, dripping or damp flooring near the heater is worth a look before a small leak becomes a big one.
Pilot or burner trouble
On a gas heater, a pilot that won’t stay lit or a burner that won’t fire leaves you with no hot water at all.
Too hot, or never hot enough
Water that swings between scalding and lukewarm can point to a thermostat or valve that isn’t doing its job.

Questions
Water heater questions.Straight answers.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?
It depends on what’s wrong, how old the heater is and what the repair would take. We look at the problem first, explain what we found, and give you the options with a price for each. Nothing starts until you’ve agreed to it.
Tank or tankless: which is right for my home?
It comes down to how much hot water your household uses, the space you have, and your gas or electric setup. Taysom Plumbing looks at all three, then tells you honestly which one your home actually needs.
How can I tell if my water heater is leaking?
Look for water or rust around the base, damp flooring nearby, or a drip from the pipes and valves on top. If you see any of that, give us a call and we’ll take a look.
Which areas do you cover?
