What we collect

This policy covers Taysom Plumbing Inc. (“Taysom Plumbing”, “we”, “us”) and how we handle information from taysomplumbing.com, phone calls and text messages.

  • What you tell us: Your name, phone number, email, city, the service you need, what you write about the problem, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
  • When you call or text: Your phone number, the time and length of the call, and what you tell us. Calls to Taysom Plumbing may be recorded for quality and training.
  • When we do the work: Your service address and the details of the job, the quote and the invoice.
  • From your visit to the site: Your device and browser, IP address and approximate location, the pages you view, and how you found us, collected with cookies (see Cookies and tracking).

We don’t take payment card details on this website.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, give you a price, and schedule and do the work.
  • To send the text messages you agreed to.
  • To keep records of the work we’ve done for you.
  • To see how the website is used and which searches and ads bring people to us.
  • To keep the site secure, stop spam and meet our legal obligations.

Text messages

We text you only if you agree to it, by ticking a box on our booking form or by telling us in writing or over the phone. Customer care texts and marketing texts are separate choices. Agreeing is optional and is never a condition of purchase. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. The full details are in our SMS Terms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Our messaging provider handles your number only to send and receive our texts, and may not use it for anything else.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, and only what they need to do that work for us:

  • Website hosting: Vercel
  • Email delivery: Resend, so your booking reaches us
  • Booking storage: Sanity, which keeps booking requests secure
  • Call tracking and recording: CallRail, which shows a tracking number, tells us how callers found us and records calls
  • Website analytics: Google Analytics
  • Scheduling, invoicing and texts: Our job management and messaging tools
  • Maps: OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address when a map loads

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or if the business is sold, in which case this policy still applies to it.

None of the above includes text message opt-in data and consent, which are never shared with any third party.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We and the companies above use them to make the site work, show the right phone number and connect calls to the page you came from (CallRail), and measure how the site is used (Google Analytics). These companies may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on. Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access limited to the people who need it, though no system is completely secure. We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and keep proper business and tax records, then delete it. If you opt out of texts, we keep a note of that so we don’t text you again.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. We may need to confirm it’s you first. To stop texts, reply STOP or tell us by phone or email.

California law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) also lets you ask whether we share personal information with others for their own marketing. We don’t. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Other things to know

  • Children: The site is for adults arranging plumbing work. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you think we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.
  • Other websites: Links to Google, Yelp, the CSLB and others are covered by their own privacy policies, not ours.
  • Changes: If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
